Hi! I'm Brian, founder of Mammoth Tech Solutions. Since the early 2000s I've been working with computers, building them for both myself and friends. I've worked part time in tech support for the McDonald's franchise I used to manage. In 2012 I went back to college and got my degree in Network Administration in 2016. I started my professional career in I.T. for a large Managed Services Provider supporting over a thousand restaurants and retail establishments. During my time at that MSP I broadened my skillset, everything from hardware replacement to network design and implementation, wireless networking, firewall management, and rapid response customer support. After that I went to work for an asphalt construction company where I was part of the two-person I.T. team for the entire company spread across the state. We handled every technology aspect - adding users, programming handheld radios, writing custom Excel workbooks, writing disaster recovery plans, and researching new software for the various departments to use. After that I went to work for a Fortune 500 fashion retailer where I was part of the network engineering team, working with one other person administering nearly 400 firewalls across the company nationwide. In that environment I got to work with multiple technologies - Cisco, Palo Alto, VMWare, Infoblox, Splunk, and CyberArk, to name a few.
On a personal note, in 2020 I was diagnosed and treated for a squamous cell carcinoma that had metastasized into my lymph nodes - stage 4 cancer. That forced me to reevaluate what I wanted out of life. Once free and out of treatment, I left corporate America, moved across the country to the beautiful mountain town I now call home, and started following my dreams with my Partner. I'm a skier, snowboarder, mountain biker, musician (I play saxophone, sing, and am learning guitar and piano), avid disc golfer, beginning again skater (ice and street), and I'm dabbling in drawing and painting. Life is so much more than just our jobs, and I'm working to use the skills and talents I have to help people and small businesses worry less about their technology. I'm looking to work with businesses and people who are out there helping other people live their best and fullest lives and actively trying to make the world a better place.
